Your portfolio data
MonthFolio uses the holdings, quantities, optional average costs, cash balances, transactions and preferences you provide to display and calculate your portfolio. Files you select are read on your device. Remove account numbers, identity details and unrelated information before importing. Brokerage passwords and bank login details are not required.
Device storage and iCloud
Your portfolio is saved on your device and shared locally with MonthFolio widgets and, when connected, your Apple Watch. Where supported by the installed version and enabled with your permission, portfolio data and preferences can synchronize through your Apple account’s private CloudKit database. Apple processes iCloud data under its own privacy policy. Local recovery backups may also be kept to protect against synchronization failures.
Market data requests
To retrieve prices, MonthFolio sends investment symbols and exchange identifiers to its market data service. The service is hosted by Cloudflare and obtains market prices from external providers. Network services process connection information, such as an IP address, to deliver and protect the service. Portfolio quantities, cost bases, cash and transactions are calculated on your device rather than included in public price requests. A configured private data service may retain a minimal instrument watchlist for scheduled price updates; it does not receive the original import file. Contact support to request removal of a service-side watchlist, if one was configured.
Support and optional features
If you email support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send and use them to handle your request. Opening Support does not automatically attach your portfolio or send an email. Notification permissions can be changed in your device’s Settings. Heksch does not use your holdings, quantities, balances or transactions for advertising, profiling or sale. We do not include advertising trackers. Market identifiers are processed only as needed to deliver the market data features.
This website
The MonthFolio website provides support and legal information. It does not use analytics, advertising cookies or forms. Its hosting provider processes network metadata to deliver and protect pages. Selecting an email link opens your email application; a message is sent only when you choose to send it.
Retention and your choices
Saved entries remain until you edit or remove them or remove stored app data. iCloud copies and recovery backups can remain separately; deleting the app does not necessarily delete those copies. You can manage iCloud storage through your Apple account settings. Support correspondence is retained for handling the request and any applicable legal obligations. Market data caches contain market information and can be retained independently of your portfolio.
Privacy requests
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or contact your local data protection authority. For privacy questions, requests or help removing stored data, email support@heksch.com. We may need information sufficient to verify that a request concerns your data. Do not email brokerage passwords or account credentials.
